Chef Jessica's Quick and Easy Cinnamon Rolls

Ingredients:

2 ½ cups sifted all-purpose flour

1 tbsp baking powder

¼ tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

¾ cup buttermilk

¼ vegetable oil
-
½ cup unsalted butter, softened

2/3 cup granulated sugar

3/4 tsp cinnamon
Directions:

Preheat oven to 400° F.

Lightly grease a 2.8L square baking dish

In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt and mix well. Stir in the vegetable oil. Add the buttermilk and stir just until combined.

Turn out dough onto a lightly floured surface. Knead until smooth. Roll dough out into a 15x8-inch rectangle.

Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Spread softened butter over the dough. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar evenly over the butter.

Starting from the long side, roll up the rectangle jelly roll style. Pinch the edge to seal. Cut the roll into 9 even slices. Arrange the slices cut side up in prepared pan.

Bake for about 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown on top. Remove from oven and serve hot.
