Ingredients
For the Cocktail
- 4 oz (120 ml) Silver (Blanco) Tequila
- 2 oz (60 ml) Triple Sec
- 1½ oz (45 ml) Fresh Lime Juice
- Ice cubes
For the Glass
- ¼ cup Kosher Salt or Coarse Sea Salt
- 1 Lime Wedge (for rimming the glass)
- Lime Wheels or Lime Wedges, for garnish
Equipment
- Margarita Glass or Coupe Glass
- Jigger
- Cocktail Spoon
- Citrus Juicer
- Small Plate (for the salt rim)
- Ice Scoop
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Glass
Pour the kosher salt onto a small plate. Rub the rim of each margarita or coupe glass with a fresh lime wedge, then gently dip the rim into the salt until evenly coated.
Step 2: Add Ice
Fill each prepared glass about three-quarters full with fresh ice cubes.
Step 3: Measure the Ingredients
Using a jigger, measure:
- 4 oz Silver Tequila
- 2 oz Triple Sec
- 1½ oz Fresh Lime Juice
Step 4: Mix the Cocktail
Pour all measured ingredients directly over the ice in the prepared glasses.
Step 5: Stir
Using a cocktail spoon, stir gently for 10–15 seconds until the cocktail is well chilled and evenly combined.
Step 6: Garnish
Garnish each cocktail with a fresh lime wheel or lime wedge on the rim of the glass.
Serve immediately.
