I got this griddle for a family day weekend brunch and hopefully many subsequent brunches.
It’s sturdy cast iron and is unlikely to warp at high heat given its thickness.
During the brunch I used it to fry bacon and then scramble some eggs. It worked well on the bridged burners on my GE induction range — almost the perfect size, really. It was pretty much nonstick out of the box. I used a little bit of bacon grease after a scrape and then sprayed on some avocado oil. Nine beaten eggs filled the whole griddle and then I divided them into five equal strips for serving as big folded egg croissant sandwiches. Two lots of eggs fed 10 of us — almost nothing stuck.
The handles do get a little hot but allow you to brace the griddle while scraping it down.
I can’t wait to try it on the BBQ. I would definitely recommend it.
It’s not cheap but it will get regular use in the right hands.
